Quality of Life - Intro

Tuesday
October 24

Listen to Archive

The trend towards mixed-use development in hospitality zones places residents and alcohol-licensed businesses in close proximity and raises new issues for policymakers, managers, businesses and residents. Impacts include noise, trash, litter, public urination, traffic and vandalism. Smoking bans can also set into motion a string of related issues such as cigarette litter, sidewalk congestion and more outdoor cafes and rooftop patios.
